I like the look of fenders on most bikes, and they are definitely a plus in the wet. That said, though, there are certain bikes where the look just doesn't appeal. That is why my Handsome XOXO doesn't have fenders, even though I do occasionally ride it in the rain.
Form over function, in this instance, I suppose...
I agree....Fenders make a huuuuuuuuge difference when riding in the rain.

ReplyDeleteIt seldom rains where I live, but I put fenders on my commuter anyway, because when it does get wet out there, fenders are indispensable.

ReplyDeleteI still don't have fenders. The LBS is trying to sell me plastic ones, saying they are much quieter, but I think I want metal for the look.
