Blowin' In The Wind

We missed the big snow, but have big wind now. Sustained wind is at 35 mph with gusts to 60. Temp is at 29, but is dropping quickly now. Didn't ride today because of the ice on the roads and the big wind.

I hate the strong winds. Should be over by Thursday morning.

Last nights low: 68
supposed to be 41F tonight.
These ups and downs are driving me crazy but it has been nice enough in the shop to work on my new cargo bike.

I didn't ride tonight either...plowed snow though. We are expecting temps in the -5 to -10 range tonight with the windchill at about -35. This is our first cold snap of the year, so we have been lucky to avoid it this long. I don't blame you for not wanting to get out in that.

Oldfool - good luck with the cold tonight.

rlove - see above. How much snow did you get?

Windchill here in North Texas was down to 9F this morning. Not much ice here so it still worked. My sympathies

Steve - cold is all relative, but 9F is dang cold anywhere. Keep warm.

Our low temp, night before last, in Denver was 17 below ) (F), but it had warmed up (!) to minus 6 by the time I rode to work. Today, it was a sweltering 10 above, as I approached my office. (Actual temps. I don't even want to talk about wind chill; it's too depressing.)

I, my friends, am already over Winter, even though it hasn't officially arrived.

Wow, Jon, that's cold. We're going down to 8 tonight. Wind is still blowing a steady 20 mph with gusts to 40. One more day of wind tomorrow predicted.
